Bag design rant

Why does the resealable strip on every single one of these give up after a week. I have four bags of food in the cupboard and every one of them is held shut with a peg.

The bag clips from the kitchen aisle are about three quid for five and better than every built in seal I have used.

Food goes in a tub, bag gets binned, roll the top of the liner down inside. Solved it permanently and the food stays fresher.
